I Support Palestine

I want to start by saying I am not virtue signaling. The reason I’ve finally put hashtags on my social media posts is twofold. One is that, yes, I am trying to reach a larger audience, and two is that this topic truly deserves all the exposure it can get.

The conflict occurring in Palestine is a horrific genocidal event being enacted by the Israeli army and is encouraged by the US government.  I won’t pretend that I know all of the complex details of the events that led to these actions. I would suggest watching Stepback History’s YouTube video on Palestine. But you shouldn’t need to know what happened in the past to know this is wrong. The attacks on journalists, hospitals, and the murder of children should be enough for us to know that this is wrong and needs to stop. I was nervous to discuss this topic on my platform because I thought that this was a place for entertainment and that it would be inappropriate for me to talk about it as the use of this blog is for my benefit. But this horrid event should not be limited to where it is shown or announced. I know it is hard to be constantly bombarded with the horrors being inflicted on Palestinians. Still, we must take action by not ignoring it by boycotting those companies that have chosen to side with Israel. Send what money you can to support Palestine. By being vocal, not letting their voices be silenced. It is not the victors who write history but the survivors.
